How to Use
Start a Dxtory.Please set up the folder which saves movies or images.
A start and stop of capture change with a hot key.
If a focus moves to a game in the state where Dxtory is performed, Dxtory will try the program or detection which can carry out a capture.
A profile is created when it is able to detect. The existing thing is used when there is already a profile.
When saved by RawCap, for playing a movie, it is necessary to convert to AVI file. Conversion uses CapConverter. CapConverter displays the captured data by thumbnail.
Profile
The profile of the detected program is generated automatically.Default defines a setup used when a profile is made newly.
Change and deletion of a profile name can be performed from the context menu of the combo box of a profile.
It cannot delete during profile use.
A folder setup and an audio setup are common use.

- Setting Ignore
- A setting Ignore module dialog box is opened. The program which does not want to detect can be set up.

- Status

- Video FPS
- The number of times of updating of Surface per second is displayed on a screen.
- Write File FPS
- The number of times of frame writing to the file per second is displayed on a screen.
- Record Status
- Icon is displayed during recording.
- Hotkey
- The key which changes a display position is specified. The combination of Ctrl/Shift/Alt key, and arbitrary keys is possible. It operates, even if it overlaps the hot key of other applications.

- Show Frame
- The frame in which a clipping area is shown is displayed.
- Hotkey
- The key which changes a frame display is specified. The combination of Ctrl/Shift/Alt key, and arbitrary keys is possible. It operates, even if it overlaps the hot key of other applications.
- View Position
- The display position of FPS and status can be specified. A position will be determined if a mouse click is performed. It will be disabled if a center is clicked.
Folder

- Movie Folder

The folder which writes in recording data can be specified.
The top folder of a list becomes a primary.
Use of the folder is validated with checking a check box.
Maximum 8 folders can be specified.
When you specify two or more folders, please be sure to set up Write Speed.
Performance may not be enough unless it sets up speed.
The built-in write file benchmark can also perform speed setting automatically.
The numerical value on the right of an icon button is the file size which a benchmark writes in.
- Reserve File Space
- Before starting capture, it tries to reserve file spaces. Reservation is not performed when there is not sufficient space. Reservation of a space may raise write performance.
- Screenshot Folder
- The folder to which a screen shot file is outputted is specified.
Movie

- Frame/Second
- frame rate of capture.
- Hotkey
- The combination of Ctrl/Shift/Alt key, and arbitrary keys can be specified as the hot key of a recording start stop. It operates, even if it overlaps the hot key of other applications.
- Scaling
- It can specify capturing by reducing to free size. Since the amount of data to write in will become less if it reduces when the most, Write File FPS improves. Percent contracts at a reduction rate. Size contracts to the specified size. Since an aspect is maintained, excessive area is cut.
- Clipping
- If an Enabled check box is checked, it will come into effect. Clipping is cropping processing, and since it is not necessary to capture a useless file space, the part file size becomes small.

- Raw Data:
- It is not processed at all to the acquired data. But although CPU load is low, since Bitrates are high, high-speed HDD is needed.
- RGB24:
- 1-pixel 32-bit data is packed and recorded on 24 bits. Although quality of image is the same as Raw Data, CPU load increases and Bitrates decreases.
- YUV24:
- 1 pixel is recorded by YUV24bit. It is a form suitable for compression.
- YUV420:
- It is format which shares 2x2 unit brightness by YUV format and is compressed. Although Bitrates decreases, quality of image deteriorates from original.
- YUV410:
- It is format which shares 4x4 unit brightness by YUV format and is compressed. Bitrates decreases most and quality of image deteriorates most.
- Compress:
- Original coding compression is performed. When there is sufficient CPU resource, a write-in speed of a file improves.
- Other Codec

Register version only

- The selection dialog box of a VFW codec is displayed.
- Setting
- The setting dialog box of the VFW codec chosen is displayed.
- File Format

- AVI:
- It saves by an AVI file. When you save by 1HDD, please use it here.
- RawCap:
- It saves by a rawcap file. This format is useful only when saving using two or more HDD.
- DirectShow:
- Data is outputted to a DirectShow source filter.When DirectShow is chosen, a setup of scaling and a pixel format is not used.
- Include Cursor
- With the application in window mode, when the mouse cursor is using the thing of a system, if this is checked, cursor will be compounded and recorded on a movie.

- Record Sound
- It checks to record a sound.

- The device which captures a sound is specified.

- Source of device.
- Volume
- Audio volume of source.
- Select Channel
- The audio source of ASIO is specified.
- Codec
- The audio codecs installed are enumerated. (None) is the non-compression format(PCM) which does not use a codec.
- Format Tag Detail
- The formats which can be used by each codec are enumerated. The format to be used is chosen here.
Screenshot

- Single Shot
- When a key is clicked, it is a function which photographs only one screen shot.
- Hotkey
- The combination of Ctrl/Shift/Alt key, and arbitrary keys can be specified as the hot key of a recording start stop. It operates, even if it overlaps the hot key of other applications.
- High Speed Shot
- Only while pressing the key, it is a function which continues photographing a screen shot.
- Hotkey

- Limit
- 0 is unlimited. Zero or more, if the number is reached, continuation photography will be stopped.

Advanced

- Advanced Option

- Capture is started with detection
- Capture is automatically started simultaneously with detection until it presses the hot key and stops.
- Video FPS sync mode
- Video FPS is synchronized with the frame rate of capture at the time of a non-safe mode.
- Disable Native Write Memory
- LowLevel API Memory Write is disabled. Please disable, only when there is a problem.
- Uncheck Destruction of device
- It may be improved when a movie capture stops, or a file is made in large quantities, and this option is used.
- Disable Hook "Exit Thread"
- Although used for detection of resource cancellation by OpenGL, it is disabled, and in almost all cases, there is no problem.
- Anonymous Module Load
- A problem may be solved, if it is used when Dxtory is incorrect-detected by nProtect Gameguard etc.
- Permanent Hook
- When Dxtory is exited before a game program, in an error coming out etc., a problem may be solved when it is used.
- Copy Processing Mode

It may be improved, when abnormalities are in drawing or a frame rate at the time of capture, and simple or completeness is used.
- Fast
- There are few amounts of processings and it operates at high speed.
- Simple
- Only a required part is copied to a system memory.
- Complete
- It copies to a system memory for every frame.
- Processing Thread Mode

- Single
- Processes by 1 thread.
- Dual
- Processes by 2 threads. It cannot be used when there are few 2 logic processors.
- Quad
- Processes by 4 threads. It cannot be used when there are few 4 logic processors.
- Hexa
- Processes by 6 threads. It cannot be used when there are few 6 logic processors.
- Octo
- Processes by 8 threads. It cannot be used when there are few 8 logic processors.
- DirectShow Setting
- The resolution of DirectShow video source can be set up.
